Alan Watts, who I later realized was the voice of the video, has also written a book called The Book.
If you’d like to read up on enlightment, awakening, nirvana, or whatever you’d like to call it, I recommend the site kentonwhitman. Something that seems so lucid or mysterious is broken down with ease and clarity.
I’ve already read his whole blog and a couple of articles that I really enjoy are How the World Really Works, Give to the Wealthy, and Everything you Hear about Enlightenment is a Lie!
At first, the articles may not make sense to you, they didn’t to me. But then I just let them stew and marinate in my brain for a while and it was like I was fitting scattered puzzle pieces together. As I saw and experienced daily life, more and more of the articles started making sense to me, it was like daayum! I understand what you mean.
As a writer I’ve long realized that words can never capture the reality I’m trying to impose on them. The site is just pointers, pointers to realizations to who you really are. You already know everything.

I like that Leslie. Although I don’t need more words about enlightenment at the moment, I’m glad someone’s inspiring others to realise their own eternal and positive self.
It’s also great to know that people as young as yourself are thinking about such things. I was 19 when I became seriously fed up with the world and myself, and started to look for a way to get the full potential out of both.
The real journey takes place within, but the outside world is such a good teacher and measuring stick. And some change takes place subtly and gradually too, you’ll never notice, and that’s the best and most important change.
I’ve also pretty much had enough of words for now, so I like your short and pointy blog post!
Meaning and experience are so subjective, we can waste a lot of time trying to impose our own discoveries of both onto others through blogging etc…
Thanks for sharing your own experience. I agree, the true journey does take place within ourselves. I’m glad you liked it! Mm, I understand what you mean by the way meaning and experience are so subjective and it can sometimes be difficult to communicate our discoveries through our different ways.

Very well said. I have a granddaughter who will be 16 this month. I love listening to her thoughts and ideas on the world and herself. You remind me a lot of her. Keep searching. Keep questioning.
Deborah
Thank you for the encouragement as always Deborah!
