Forgive and Meet Your True Self

I’m a rockstar. So I experiment with things like…. EFT.
Mountains of layers of complex issues feel like they’ve been lightening up little by little, moderately, or loads at a time. I’ve still been coasting along in EFT and doing daily taps. Ultimately I’m aiming to achieve a state of alignment in body, mind, and heart where all actions come from wholesome being. To be mindful and presently aware of the life that is surrounding me right now.
One of the most crucial ingredients to healing yourself is forgiveness, to forgive yourself of past events, thoughts, or insecurity. In turn, forgiving the others around you comes much more easily. My social anxiety has toned down a couple of notches and I’ve been feeling more and more in place, as if I belong.
Examining and appreciating day to day life has become a favorite sport of mine. Whenever I have a reaction, I look inside of myself for the source of emotion. Am I really offended by what they’re saying or am I just creating a story in my head?
Who holds the most important opinion regarding you? Yourself. I’ve had difficulty believing this because from day 1 in diapers we’re trained to believe that you have to earn approval from your parents, strive for straight A’s to be truly successful, and act only in ways that society accepts. We have to act in ways that are not genuine to our authentic selves in order to gain love and acceptance.
Instead of telling people to meet a list of criteria, what if we told each other that we are all perfect and good enough right now, in this moment? I can only imagine wonderful things. Pressure would be lifted off of countless shoulders and the ability to attract more good things into life would be a breeze.
